Sorry for the giant photos, not sure this is in the right place. First brew after almost a year early January; Fermented 2 weeks, Bottled without issue, no strange smells or particulate/mold in the fermentor ... bottles been sitting for 3 weeks ... as far as I can tell this is the only bottle that has this issue, so hopefully I get lucky. This happen to others out there? I'm assuming I screwed up on one bottle only hopefully, although I'm not sure how I could have overlooked it. Have a couple in the fridge, gonna open today to test carbonation, flavour etc. Hopefully doesn't start gushing everywhere.

Given that there is still a price tag on the outside of the bottle, I'd wager that this isn't mold but rather a bottle that was never cleaned thoroughly before bottling. I get one of those every now and then, but I usually catch them at bottling time. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Yeah, I thought that at first but these were all cleaned when I got them, and then cleaned a second time prior to sanitation and bottling. I'd be surprised that much filth went unnoticed. As for stickers/labels, I usually don't bother too hard with removing them.

To me it looks that it's not capped properly. You aren't pushing down in the capper hard enough. The crimping should be nearly vertical.

If there's no carbonation, that'll be why.
