Hey kombucha friends, I've got this great batch going right now but I just discovered that a bunch of apples had gotten moldy on the counter near my brew... and then I found this floating on the surface, which doesn't really resemble mold to me but I haven't seen anything quite like it before either... my boyfriend described it as "floating skin with salt sprinkled on top." Is this normal kombucha being kombucha (and me being paranoid), or did some weird apple mold spore make its way over to my brew?
