Modified a diagram for different switches, does this look correct?

with the below diagram... i changed it just a titch to reflect one pump and adding 2 switches.

Looks good --- But --- the switches are rated:
Specifications
Operation Current Rating: 10A at 240 or 120VAC


The elements draw 16.7A. To use those switches for the element current, you will also need to add contactors.

Does this one look like it'll work?? (and i'm going to be using 1500w elements, don't think that makes a difference, but thought i would mention it :) )

Looks great. You did a great job.

BTW, even with 1500W elements the current draw is over the switch specs so the contactors are still needed as you observed.

P-J! once more, sorry to bug ya... i was thinking about the "future" of my brew rig... and while i have it apart/building it now, i want to see if this is possible/would work. this way once i get a cooler MLT i can control my BK and HLT, but i'm not sure which switches to get, DPDT? or SPST?

i'm fairly sure neutral is not supposed to be switched.. thats why i'm asking :)

The first diagram is OK if your intent is to remain with a dual 120V feed to your rig.

However: if you intend to eventually go to a plan with a 240V feed, the second diagram will suit your needs with a better form for change later on. With the DP switched version- conversion to a 240V setup will keep you from laying out additional $'s later on. Do not be concerned with switching the neutral line within your controller. It is a plug in device and the issue is? - None at all.

i think for this first one i will keep it "simple" and less wiring to mess up. And if i want to step to 240v later on i'll just build a new box and put this one to use in a smaller system.
