So I have read several threads on mini fridge modification and I still have a couple of questions.

First, all the ones I have looked at in the stores have the little freezer section. In pictures on the forum it looks like people removed them or unscrewed the plate and flipped it over. I noticed while looking at them in the store that there are what looks like 2 wires (maybe they are the coils, I don't know) attached to the plate in the back. What problems would I have with these when moving that plate?

Second, it seems like most people added a thermostat to allow them to keep warmer temps than the original unit would allow. I have this controller from my SOF chamber and would like to use it. Has anyone done that with this unit or does anyone know how to hook it up?

Thanks in advance!

With the overwhelming amount of replies to my first question I thought I'd ask a second question. So I bought a "beverage refrigerator" and I may buy a second so I can have one to use as a beer fridge and the other for a fermentation chamber. The unit is the perfect size to fit a carboy with no modification. I have yet to decide on temperature control but I do know I need to cover he glass door. I was thinking about just buying limo tint and putting it on the door window. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Mine isn't glass, but I painted my with chalkboard paint and writes notes/specs on it, kinda fun
