Sign in name is K8bor, but the name is Dave.
Starting to brew my own because 1) I couldn't always find what I wanted and 2) I got tired of paying $ 1.50 a bottle for something that had taste, and 3) I tie my own trout flies and reload my own ammo, so brewing was just sort of one more "do it myself". As you might assume, I don't care to be dependent on other people for things the way I want them.
On a lark, my wife bought me a "mr. beer" kit. I've bottled a batch of "West Coast Pale Ale" a week ago and have a batch of "English Nut Brown" fermenting right now, but am anxious to start something a little more intriguing. I'm going to open some of that pale ale this weekend and hope it tastes as good as it looks so far.
Seems to be a ton of good info here, and I wanted in.
