Michigan Brewer's On Top Yet Again :mug:

========================================================

BOULDER, Colo. — The American Homebrewers Association released its ranking of top U.S. craft breweries and two Southwest Michigan beer makers were in the top six.

Bell's Brewery Inc., of Kalamazoo, came in at No. 2, while Founders Brewing Co., of Grand Rapids, was No. 6, according to the rankings in the AHA's magazine, Zymurgy.

The magazine ranked Milton, Delaware's Dogfish Head as the top brewery in the country.

The publication also ranked its top 50 beers, as well as top portfolio and Spirit of Homebrew Award.

In the best portfolio category, Bell's ranked No. 7 with 17 beers and Founders tied for eighth with 15 beers.

Marshall's Dark Horse Brewing Co. was tied for 19th (11 beers) and Short's Brewing Co., of Bellaire, was tied for 25th (nine beers).

Dexter's Jolly Pumpkin was fifth on the Spirit of Homebrew list, which was described as "breweries that, though small in production, score high with beer lovers. We determine the Spirit of Homebrew Award by taking a brewery's total number of votes and dividing it by the brewery's annual production in number of barrels."
