Metal mesh paddle in stainless mash tun?

I recently bought a metal mash paddle as the plastic spoon I've been using to stir is a bit too flimsy and has started to bend. Most of the wooden ones are huge so I went with a metal one off Amazon. Used it this weekend in my Rubbermaid mash tun and got to thinking it might be a little too hard banging against the sides. I have an Ss Brewtech Infussion stainless mash tun on the way and was wondering if the metal paddle is a bad idea as it might scratch the stainless. What say you all? Should I replace it?

I use a stainless mash paddle in my Brew Built kettle no problems at all

I use a stainless paddle in a stainless mash tun. I haven't noticed that it scratches too badly, or possibly I just haven't looked close enough.

even on the unlikely chance you do scratch the mash tun - it's on the pre-boil side, so there's no issues with sanitation impacts on your final brew

plenty of different wooden ones out there.. metal one with scuff up the kettle Ive used them all.. made my own wooden one in the end.
