Mess up on first batch of beer.

I added my whiskey barrel chips to the specialty grains on accident first brew and I was suppose to add them in fermentation when it is done. Will this hurt the beer? Should I get more chips and do it later when fermentation is done?

lol not that big of a deal. yeah get more and add it to the secondary if you wish.

They will probably not taste much, I would taste a sample after primary o decide whether or not I should add some more.

Yea not the end of the world. Taste it after fermentation and see if you need any more. Did you taste the wort post boil? Did it have any wood notes?

I did not take a taste. Was not sure if u could do that straight out of the pot. I know u can during fermentation when it is close to being done
