Has anyone made a stainless mesh false bottom for a Igloo cube MLT?

I drilled a hole through the front for my valve so I'm not using the built-in port in the rear.

Just looking to see some pics if someone has done this.

This guy has done it...and he's trying to sell the thing for nearly $200!!! LOL!!! I picked the same cube up at Target on clearance for like $10 I think. Anyways there's a good pic in there for you. Good luck.

Actually it looks like he's using a stainless braid which is what I use today. I was thinking more of a traditional false bottom like you see for the round coolers.

Hey i am building a FB for my keg and a large 75 gallon stainless tank. I got some perforated stainless from mcmaster and am having it cut with a CNC from a welder. the stainless cost $100 and cutting will be $40. I will be getting one 25 in circle, and 2 14 in circles. I would bet you could get a smaller peace of ss for a lot cheaper than i got. Then all you would have to do is cut it to shape with an angle grinder. With my 75 gallon tank i am holding the false bottom up with nuts bolts.

That's pretty much what I was planning.

Do you know what p/n you used from McMaster?

Previously I found what looked like the same hole size and spacing as the MoreBeer false bottom but I'd have to search again for that p/n. Seems like it was still going to be about $50 - $80 for the stainless from McMaster. Need to find a cheaper source.

I dont remember the p/n but i would try to get the thickest material you can, and also one with the smallest holes. Also get one thats got the most open area %. The stainless i got seamed kinda thin to use in my large tank, but i think it will work great in a keg or other type of MT. I got a lot of material, and you could probably make almost 6 false bottoms out of what i got. Post your dimensions for your false bottom, and when i get the material back from the welder i will see if u could possibly use my scraps. I will go see if i got the invoice.

just got the circles back and they are awesome! the material i have left is 11" x 2'6"
