Has anyone here tried Mercier Orchards fresh pressed cider to make a hard cider? My wife and I took a trip there last weekend and I picked up some gallons to give it a try. I was very tempted to pick up a few bushels because they have a crazy amount of variety to choose from but that will be a project for a future date.

On a side note anyone in the surrounding area that hasnt visited this place should take a trip. Its a great place for the family as well with apple picking

I've not made a cider, but do agree about Mercier's. Their apple pies (and peach pies) are the bomb! I'm in SE TN, so it's a stopping point when I'm heading into Blue Ridge with the family.

On a side note, Appalachian Beverage Store (in Elijay, GA) is worth a visit as well. Lots of good selections. It's about 20 miles SW of Mercier's.
