Melomel Question (Newbie Alert)

Hello All,

I am excited to say I'm starting my first ever brew this weekend! I just found all my equipment online (second hand) for 50 bucks. Brand new, only used once.

I'm wondering about the primary. Am I able to brew the Melomel entirely in the glass carboy? Or must I use the plastic fermenting bucket?

My apologies for the silly question. I'm sure I'll have a few more along the way.

Second question. After my Melomel is going, I'd like to brew something I could drink soon-ish, any suggestions?

Take notes and maintain a log so you can figure out what works best for you.

For your first question, either way is fine.

For quick brew, make a BOMM (Bray's One Month Mead). Also, see my article in my signature to learn more about making mead.
