This is still a ways off for me, but I'd like to get what I need now. What additives do you guys use to clear/fine/prepare your mead for bottling? I've searched around the webbernets and can't seem to find any kind of definitive answers.

Thanks
Andrew

I use Bentonite. It's a powdered clay that you hydrate into a slurry. I had a pear mead (melomel) in a fermenter for over 2 years and it never cleared. Two days under bentonite and it's remarkably clear and ready for bottling.
