Hi. I'm after some advise.
I've made up a few batches of some Mead. One of which is a Fire Mead with some spices and chillies.
It's fermented out and I've racked it into a second demijohn / carboy.
I used a siphon tube and fine mesh filter. On the end. To transfer from primary to secondary.
My concern is that I have filtered out all the yeasties and on top of that I've added . 1.5ml of Kwik clear finings. As it was taking ages to clear.
Will this be ok to carbonate into bottles.
If so how much dextrose (my preferred priming and brewing sugar all round)
I have around 4 litres to bottle.
If not have can I get around my possible mistake.
I've read that u can add a little more yeast and honey etc to start off the co2 for carbonation.
Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks
Ryan

There will still be enough yeast to carbonate. How much priming sugar to use depends on the level of carbonation you want. The same charts and calculators that work for beer work for other beverages too.
