I recently bought a 25 litre (6.5 gal) ice cooler to make a mash tun. It didn't come with a tap so I had to drill a hole. The hole got drilled slightly unevenly and there's a leakage. I tried using various gaskets, I tried using an epoxy adhesive from the outside, but both didn't work. The epoxy adhesive came right off the plastic. Is there any way I can seal the hole? Would a silicone sealant help and be okay to use?

Go to your local hardware store and find DAP 100% silicone. There are a few different kinds. You want the kind that says items food grade and good up to 200+ degrees on the back of the tube.

It worked great for me when my old MT cooler started leaking.
