Hi,

I'm a homemade brewer that is looking for imporvement. I'm watching at stout & Kettle "1bbl" system but I don't find anywhere a kind of tutorial on how a 1 bbl brew system is working (steps and volume between Mash tune, Hot Water tank and other contenants ???). Does any one has a link to some clear informations on that ?

Thank you !

1 bbl system or 5 gallon system, it doesn't rreally matter.
Search specific questions using the search feature.
Visit the wiki section on the tool bar above.

A quick overview:
Heat water in a "hot liquer Tun", or HLT.
Mix liquer with grain in your mash tun or MT at a ratio of somewhere around 3 lb grain to 1 gallon liquer.
Mash and drain wort from the mash tun and sparge to make up your boil volume.
Boil the wort in the boil kettle or BK.
Chill the the wort, transfer to your fementer, and pitch the yeast.
Once the yeast is added, technically it's beer.
