Mash Problem

My mash was steady at 150 which is what I was looking for, but, I just checked, and its up to 180. I'm doing a partial mash, Did I ruin it?

No. You're fine. I wouldn't keep it that high though.

yea it kinda was a false reading. I put the lid on my stock pot. Had to run outside. Came back, took it off and took a temp and it was about 177, but after I posted this message, took another reading and it was about 160. May had something to do with steam or something else
