For beers where I can fit my grainbill and all water into my mash tun (around 11.5 gallons) in one go, I am going to start single infusion mashing at 1.5 qts/lb, followed by a mashout step with the rest of my water. Only one vorlauf recirculation needed, then straight to the boil.
I consider this a no-sparge method, but am curious if others typically conduct a no-sparge similarly, or if most people mash with the entire volume from the get-go.
