I'd love to try something with marmite -- probably a stout or porter. I wonder though if the yeast in the marmite would interfere with the fermentation process.

Anyone ever tried it or have thoughts about it?

Marmite lovers only pls :p
 
I think marmite is great, but I would think it is too salty for beer. I'm new to the hobby so I haven't done anything so adventurous, but am interested in the result. It might be an easy way get your funk on.
 
I love Marmite on toast so maybe you need to use malts that will give you that bready taste.
 
There are a bunch of recipes online using vegimite. It'll basically be the same thing! The Aussies do it all the time apparently!
