I just got a new March pump for my bday! I just ordered the equipment to start using it with my wort chiller.

My question is if anyone uses their pumps for other purposes? I have 10g igloo cooler for mash tun and a converted keg for hot liquor tank/brew kettle.

Anyone have suggestions on how else I can use this pump?

I use mine to pump water from my HLT to my MT for mashing and sparging. i drain by gravity for MT to BK.

I've been using my pump to drain my mash tun when I batch sparge. I've heard that you MIGHT cause a stuck sparge doing this, but I haven't had an issue. I just get the pump going when I'm about done with the mash and let it recirculate back into the top of the mash tun, in lieu of doing a vorflauf. Drains quicker than just letting gravity work by itself.

1 recirc HLT water
2 trsf from HLT to MLT
3 recirc through RIMS back to MLT
4 trsf from MLT to BK
5 sparge from HLT to MLT
6 trsf final runnings to BK
7 pump through plate chiller to fermenter
8 pump champagne up through giant glass filled with naked women - JK:D

pump champagne up through giant glass filled with naked women

Make it even better an make it through ice sculptures with the champagne coming out their nipples.:)

Keeps the champagne cold and great entrainment.
