I've got a quart of pure Vermont Maple syrup. Tried to put in on the kid's pancakes but they hated it - wanted the genuine imitation Log Cabin instead.

Anyway, what can I brew with this:

Maple Porter?
Maple Stout?
Maple Hefe (now that just sounds nasty...)?

Any suggestions or recipes? I'd hate to waste it (I don't do pancakes).

Thanks from a newbie,

'proper' maple syrup isn't a standard UK kitchen ingredient but i'd have thought (due to your kids reaction!) it's something that'll need to used in smaller doses. The sugars will boost the ABV but the flavour may be overpowering in larger measures like honey can be.
But that's just my 'guess'
