Major bucket score...

I called all around today to everywhere I could think of that has a bakery that would have buckets. They all either recycled, or gave them to church groups, or threw them out and were not able to sell them. Then I called Sam's Club. They said sure we have buckets, come get some. So I went down there and she came out of the back with a whole cart full, I got:

1 - 6 gallon with a gasket lid
7 - 5 gallon with gasket lids
6 - 4 gallon
5 - 2 gallon with gasket lids
11- 1 gallon

All of them have been cleaned. And she said to come back whenever cause they always have empties. All for free, gotta love that.

that is awesome!!!

i need to stop searching for glass 1 gallon containers and just grab these 1 gallon buckets. if i only felt better about it.

Anyone ever done wine in them with good results?

Yes it was from the bakery. All of them had held frosting.

Just picked up two more tonight, along with the rest of the equipment I need to start... obsession here I come!!!

Wow I had no idea bakeries used buckets like that... I'll have to call around!
