Magic Chef minifridge thermostat? freezing 24/7

I just bought a Magic Chef mini fridge 4.4 cu ft. model #MCBR445S1. I got a great deal and it's in good shape, except that even when I set it to 0 or 1, everything in the fridge freezes, from the top shelf to the veggie crisper drawer! =( I"m guessing this has to do with the thermostat? Does anyone know how to fix this? If it is the thermostat, how hard is it to change? I got a good deal on the fridge but can't afford to put too much more into it =(
heeeelllllppppppppp. I wanted a fridge, not a freezer!
