While watching a TV program regarding making mead I decided to give it a try.
Now that it is made I don't know what to do.
Can I put it in canning jars and can I use the canning jar lids? I don't want the expense of buying bottles just for this.
I have bought some recommended devises in order to transfer the mead into containers and know very little, if any, information on the process.
I know, I know, I should not have started this to begin with!
Any help will be appreciated.
Oh, I made "Joe's Orange & Spice Ancient Mead Drink" recipe.

I am going to try Mead next. I just read that it has to age for like 6 months to a year before drinking. LOL I did read that it is best to use corked wine bottles to let it breath.

canning jars will really not do, because of yeast. fine for distilled, but not wines. mead is honey wine. corked bottles are best, but screw lid wine bottles will do. the tapered neck is why. mason jars can be a bit messy if fermentation continued after bottling.
