Brewed an all-grain IPA last week and after strong fermentation, it started to clear on day 5. I'm going to transfer to a secondary and dry-hop, so I checked the gravity last night and it's MUCH lower than I anticipated. Beersmith calculated a final gravity of 1.012, but as you can see from the attached picture, I'm measuring about 1.009
Is this reasonable?
Oh, and it tastes amazing (bit young and yeasty, but awesome)
Here's my recipe:
13 lbs. 2-row
1 lbs. Crystal 20
1 oz Columbus @ 60 min
0.5 oz Magnum @ 60 min
1 oz Chinook @ 30 min
0.5 oz Centennial @ 15 min
0.5 oz Centennial @ flameout
1 oz Cascade (dryhop)
Single-infusion mash (60 min) at 148 F.
Fly-sparge to collect ~ 7 gallons
90 minute boil
OG: 1.069
Pitched a recycled (washed) yeast starter of 3 pints, Wyeast 1056 american ale.
