I agree with this if you are using it for a BK. If you are going to use it for a fridge, freezer or anything under 15 amps the love is nice because it can handle that amount with out a relay. If you are going to use a load over 15 amps I agree just get the PID and a SSR and call it a day.

There are PIDs that can switch up to 10A alone. No external relay. Should work for a refrigeration unit.
