I'm considering getting a filter setup, basically a diaphragm pump and either a plate or canister filter. But I make a lot of small batch experimental brews in 1 gallon carboys and I'm wondering how much will be lost to the filter.
You guys who use filters, what is your experience with this? And is one type of filter better than the other in this regard?
