I know this is a heated topic, but we are starting to look at larger batch sizes for some beers. We currently do 10 gallons on everything and are looking to move up to 15 or 20 gallons.
Currently fermenting in a plastic spiedel for the 10 gallons batches. Works great, but it barely fits in my fermentation chamber.
I know that some say below X batch size, conicals are a waste of money. What is that magic number where it seems to actually be beneficial? I'm pretty much set on Blichmann, especially since they released the modular extensions... the versatility is awesome. Now just trying to decide between the 14 or 27 + the associated extension.
