So to be able to make a batch of skeeter pee I am transferring a batch of apfelwein to a keg after being in primary for a month. I realize it's early but I need the yeast slurry of the Apfelwein to make the Skeeter Pee.

So I know this batch needs to sit in the keg for a couple more months at least.

What I was wondering is can I naturally carb it with sugar and just leave it stored in the basement at 62 - 64 F instead of keeping the keg upstairs? Will the carbonation just happen slower than if I stored it upstairs @ 70F??

Since it would be months at least or likely 3 or 4 it would be OK if it went slow I just want to be sure it would still carb and that it doesn't have to be warmer to even start???
