Anyone have any idea what a quart of LME would translate into lbs?

I'm starting my 2nd batch which is a 2.5 gallon recipe (cut in half from a 5 gallon recipe). I am using BeerSmith to try and calculate when during the boil I should add the LME (I've been told part of it at the beginning, and part during the last 15 minutes), and I need to know the LME's weight, not volume.

Whenever I buy 6lb lme it comes in a quart sized milk jug so I would say 6 lbs

EDIT: Yeah, 6 lbs is a half gallon. Im an idiot dont listen to me.

I would say much closer 3 lbs to a quart. The tub I use for buying bulk LME is about 1/2 gallon size (maybe a tad larger) and holds 7 lbs max.

If you've seen canned extract before, those typically hold 3.3 lbs. They're about the size of a family sized soup can.

You don't have a scale you can put your quart of LME on? Or am I understanding the original post wrong?
