Little Giant Pump MPFV12

Hi Folks,

I know some people use Little Giant pumps, but has anyone used the MPFV12? It's a 12v 360GPH pump with stainless stell head.

I can't seem to find the specs online, but is it safe to assume that any pump with a stainless steel head is okay??????

actually, i think that it is only recomended up to 120 degrees...seemed strange to me also, i thought that a stainless head would be good for any temp, but I think that it is the impeller that is the limitation. To get to 200 with the little giants you have to go with the hc label 2-md-hc or 3-md-hc. One thing that is possible to look at, would be that pump and then upgrading the head...

Upgrading *from* a stainless steel head to something else just seems... wrong.

(though I completely agree about using the right tool for the job).

I have heard that some pumps are rated lower because they simply ae not tested at.higher temperatures.

Is this possibly the case?

I think in this case maybe the impeller material dictates the maximum temperature.
