Kevin Jones finally had a decent game (almost 100 yards, 2 TDs). If it wasn't for Jones, Laurence Maroney, and Atlanta's D (which I picked up on Friday), I would have scored about 25 points this past weekend.

Obligatory "we suck again" post. And I almost thought we had this one in the bag, I was all set to start talking trash.

Well the Lions finally won one, I can start talking trash until next week when we lose against the Jets.

Bird, do you still have Jones on your FF team? I think he is finally coming into his own.

Yeah, I do. I've been lucky as hell with him; I've started him exactly two weeks, and he's had exactly two good games (and I picked the right two games :D). I just don't trust Martz to stick to the running game for any period of time.

Well, I know we lost 'cause I saw the scores and post game show, but as I don't get to watch the games (stupid Virginia) I don't know why. At least this year Detroit is able to score; we just can't contain anyone. :(

Anyway, next week Lions fans won't have to suffer through another loss as they are on a bye.

Well the Lions posted a win against Atlanta (30 to 14), maybe this team is starting to click. With Chicago and Green Bay losing today, and Minnesota on their way to a loss, we could be the only NFC north team with a win this week.:D

Just have to gloat a little bit considering how infrequently wins come around for this team, but at least I can enjoy a Sunday for a change.:tank:

It doesn't really need to be said again, but the Lions lost. I may be the only one posting in this thread lately, but after six losing seasons with the worst record in the league I need to vent a little each sunday.

Whe the hell is this team going to turn it around.

Fear not, for next week your Lion play the Cardinals.

I just got back from New Jersey and saw the Detriot/Arizona score. Without knowing anything that happened in the game I just cannot help but feel utterly disappointed in this team's lack of heart. There is no point in continuing to post in this thread, I'll let it die.

F*kcin Lions

The Lions just beat Dallas on the road. Beating a playoff contender to close out the season with a win is just as good as a winning record right?

It is for the Lions. What a way to end the year, and they showed the game here so I got to see one of the Lions three victories. :mug:

But they lost the overall 1st round draft pick to the Raiders. ;)

They'll just draft Calvin Johnson anyway, no matter which pick they get!

Lions start the year with a win. Any bets on which games the only other two wins will come from?

Todd K., it's been a while since I read this thread, you were right about the draft pick.

Tied for first in the NFC North. :mug:

that's funny.... not exactly a bold prediction...

Well we made the Eagles look good this week.

At least we look better than we did last year, still fighting every down.

At home against the Bears next week. Care to make a friendly wager, Todd_K?

I'm surprised that someone else here has 'fessed up to being a Lions fan. Just wait until we start winning and all the bandwagon fans show up (maybe 10-20 years).

At least we should win next week.

In.

Im a long time Lions and Jets fan.
No one can ever accuse me of jumping on a bandwagon :(

I'm an Eagles fan, and I think we caught you on a bad day, that central division is still up for grabs as long as Grossman is Q'ing for the Bears (they're chanting Griese in Chitown right now).

Holy carp did my team look like crap today... They might still make me look good on my 3-13 prediction yet. :D

I recorded it and didn't start watching until about 2:00, but as soon as I saw the first 3 and out, then saw the Eagles stomp down the field I knew it was over. I turned it off before halftime just to save myself the aggrevation.

The defense totally dissapeared today. I joke about the Lions, but they're a much better team than they played today, and the Eagles are not as good as they played today.

Despite my annual 3-13 prediction, I am the erternal optimist while I'm watching the games.

The Lions have some serious holes in the equation and they need to fill them. Quick.
Where is the run block on the front line? How is it non-existent?
Where was the defensive run or pass defense?

Did Martz call the plays yesterday or did he have someone phone them in from Indonesia?

McNabb needed this win, so you knew he was coming out hard, but jeez, at least give him some of a challenge.
The guy threw at least 4 bombs downfield yesterday and the receiver was WIDE OPEN. How is that possible?

I'm not worried about jinxes, we've already won as many games this year as we did last year. For a Lions fan, the fact that we can't do worse is a positive.:D

Nope, not avoiding it at all. I'm as shocked as anyone that they're 3-1. They've already won as many games as I predicted them to win this year.

After predicting 8-8 and 9-7 seasons only to have them end up at 2-14 or 3-13, this time it actually feels good to be wrong.

Now if they can only manage to do something that they've never done - win in DC. The Lions are 0-20 all time @ Washington.

Hopefully Megatron will be back in action next week.

Wow do we lose big. Why do we have to squeack by with our wins and get blown out in our loses.

Here comes the losing streak.

Man, Gregg Williams put that #1 passing offense in a mufuggin headlock! He didn't even have to get creative or even blitz. Just a 4-man front. Kitna is trash...if you guys had a decent QB it'd be one thing. The only reason he's been so highly rated before yesterday is because of all those great receivers. But alas, no more.

And the fact that Campbell took it to you guys without Moss for 4 quarters and then without Randle El for 2 quarters, well I daresay your defense is hideous too.

You are correct on all counts. Washington's front 4 dominated that game, and the Lions defense made a below average QB look like he should be starting in the Pro Bowl.

Here comes the 11 game losing streak.

Hopefully they won't break our record of consecutive years picking in the top 10 of the draft. We could really use another top 10 WR. :drunk:
