I have had my vienna lager(negera modelo clone) lagering for about 3 weeks in bottles. I just opened a beer and it tasted GREAT but there is lil carbonation in it. What should i dO? I know lagers take a while longer but i still wonder. it has been 6plus weeks since pitching the yeast.

Thanks

I thought you can lager while bottled? I had them around 55 deg. when fermenting now they are about 30-40 deg. I have them in ice chest while i circulate ice daily or bi-daily.

I hope i still have enough yeast left to carbonate the beer, i just read some of the yeast might die when in cold temps. So should i leave at room temp or leave in the garage where its 55-60?

I really don't know. Room temp is best for the yeast. They need all the help they can get at this point. I'm not sure how this will affect the lagering process. I'd warm them up for a good month and then check one to see if it is carbed. If it is, then lager.

Soo i just had a beer after keeping them in the closet since the last post and .......drum roll...... THey came out Marvelousssss, all i need was to warm them a lil. Thanks for the help
