I may or may not have obtained some petrified wood while on a trip at an undisclosed location.Rockhounding with my wife. Just wandering around in the middle of nowhere, no cell phones, whacking a rock with a hammer brings peace to our souls.
I picked up 25 pounds more or less so far this year. Perfectly legal where I am, and if you know where to look not at all hard to find. The stuff I'm collecting right now is to give a good friend whose Parkinson's has destroyed his ability to work, now he just runs a rock tumbler and gives the finished product away. Financially he's in good shape, but he needs something to keep him occupied.I may or may not have obtained some petrified wood while on a trip at an undisclosed location.
Very cool that you give that to him. I was looking at vibrating tumblers after I read your comment about rockhounding. Another cool hobby that you really feel satisfaction from [emoji622]I picked up 25 pounds more or less so far this year. Avoid the vibrating tumblers, they don't work nearly as well as rotary.Very cool that you give that to him. I was looking at vibrating tumblers after I read your comment about rockhounding. Another cool hobby that you really feel satisfaction from [emoji622]
Same here, my wife and I just moved and can't wait to explore a whole new area!Rockhounding with my wife. Just wandering around in the middle of nowhere, no cell phones, whacking a rock with a hammer brings peace to our souls.
You've got a great looking family. Way to be an awesome dad! el Jimador is my go-to weapon of choice. Here's to bowling strikes and enjoying your alone time! #cheers! Those rare Saturdays or Sundays the husband and I take a mini road trip to discover new brewpubs/taprooms/breweries in the great state of Washington. Last year drove to Yakima and beyond and discovered some good ones. This year I will be prepared to buy some super fresh hops as well. Always good tunes on the XM, just driving around and seeing spots we've never seen although we've both lived here over 30 years (41 for me). And then there's nights like tonight, husband is off bowling and I'm here alone with the kids (2 dogs and a cat) just listening to some Zep and relaxing. Only thing missing is some homebrew to enjoy with it, just kegged up my IPA tonight and nothing else on tap. Oh look, tequila from Mazatlan....
I wonder if a disproportionate number of home brewers play guitar? hmmm...
Don't know about disproportionate, but we are, on the whole, creative, curious, inventive, and restless folks. I see so many outlets for this energy on HBT, so a lot of musicians wouldn't surprise me at all. I'd be a musician myself, if it wasn't for a complete lack of talent in that arena.I wonder if a disproportionate number of home brewers play guitar? hmmm...
Me too! We're getting a blast of winter here on the Western Slope of CO. I want shorts and chanklas weather! [emoji295] [emoji476] [emoji482]Fishing and just being out on the boat. Ready for spring to be here!
