I am new to the home brew ( about a year). I currently have a batch that has been in the 2nd for 3 weeks. I went to take a gravity reading and noticed that there is something on the top of the brew. It looks like small specs of mold. Is it possiable that the yeast is still at work ( the brew has had nothing on top for the first 3 weeks) My starting gravity was 1.062 and when i went to the 2nd it was 1.030. The smell though the air lock is great. I have not taken a gravity since the transfer to the 2nd. This happened last time and i dumped it not knowing any better then i discovered this forum. Any ides?

probably some yeast clumps taking a ride on some c02 bubbles. Don't worry about it. If the sample tastes ok, all's good.
