With only a few extract batches and one A.G. under my belt, you could say I'm still pretty new at brewing. I follow established recipes and have been mostly satisfied.

Today, I wanted to use my leftovers, so I brewed a beer with leftover DME, LME, Grains, Hops, and Yeast. I know many people have brewed batches from leftovers and some have had great results.

I know the characteristics of a few styles, but not many.

Based on my recipe below, what did I just brew? Judging by the color of the wort, this beer looks like it is going to be a dark red color. Is this a Bitter? Pale Ale? Irish Red?

Recipe:

O.G. 1.51
Yeast: Nottingham

Approximates:

Steeped 25 Mins @ 150-155
2 oz. Muntons Roasted Barley
1 lb. Briess Vienna
1/2 lb. Dingemans Caravienne

Wort - 3 1/4 Gallons boiled - Total time 60 Mins.
Steeped water
1 lb Briess Extra Pale DME 60 Mins.
1.65 lbs. John Bull Light LME 30 Mins.
1.65 lbs. John Bull Light LME 10 Mins.

Hops
Glacier 7.4 % A.A.
Willamette 4.6 % A.A.

1/2 oz. Glacier - 60 Mins.
1/4 oz. Glacier - 45 Mins.
1/2 oz Willamette - 15 Mins.
1/4 oz Willamette - Flameout

Cooled and topped with water 1/2 gallon of water to 3/14 gallons

Thanks for any suggestions. Whatever it is, I hope it's good.

Should fit in the Irish red category and should be a nice quaffable brew. The OG was probably more like say 1.051.
