I just got my kegging equipment (korny kegs), and started setting it up tonight. I hooked everything up, and found that one in particular did not seem to seal well at the gas disconnect. The Kegs hold pressure just fine when there is nothing hooked up to the gas side, so I think it is in the disconnect itself, or maybe the disconnect is not fitting over the valve tightly enough. Any suggestions? I've thought of using some teflon tape. Do I need to send my keg back and request a replacement? Thanks

Matt

The disconnect can be checked just by switching kegs, if it leaks on another keg, then the disconnect is bad. If only one keg is leaking check the o-ring on the plug for cracks and other damage. Dampen your finger and rub the o-ring (you don't have to remove it). If you get any black rubbing off, replace the ring.

Couple questions come to mind;
1) Did you buy them rebuilt? Or just preasure tested?
2) They will most likely will not pay for return shipping, do you really want to spend money shipping it back for over $0.50 O-ring?
3) The connect may not have been tightened down enough if they did rebuild it.

Those corney kegs are not "buy it once, use it forever" you're going to have to service them at some point.

Thanks for the replys. I think I got it figured out. I had two kegs hooked up to the same pressure line from the CO2 tank. I disassembled the disconnect and reset the little valve which was looked a little off-centered. After that I connected it up, and my problem all but went away on both kegs. I reset the other two disconnect valves and it's working great. Just kegged my first two kegs this morning!!
