Leaking tower

I've just bought a brand new tower assembly and have noticed add an on and off leak at the joint for the tap.

I've tried tightening all the pieces and it still leaks.

Should I consider putting some thread tape on? All the washers and seals look fine. Maybe keg lube might help?

Kind of at a loss since the leak does go away sometimes. Luckily it is slow leak.

Check for a rubber o-ring in the back of the faucet, and it's condition. That makes the seal with the shank. Maybe there's something obstructing it, keeping it from making a good seal.

Did you use the special faucet wrench with the hook on it?

I did use the faucet wrench. Everything was tight by hand as I could get it. As everything was new everything still looks cleared

Really check for that o-ring. It's the only thing that prevents the leak you're having.
The serrated ends of the faucet and shank should match too. Maybe they're damaged, preventing a tight fit?

More photos attached. O ring is in place. It is a 2 tap setup and I swapped them to trouble shoot. But only the left leaks.

Everything else appears in identical shape.

I have contacted where I bought it from. Just looking for additional support / information. I don't expect to hear from them until tomorrow.

Keg is unhooked at this point and probably heading out for the night

I'm at a loss as to the proper terminology of the following pieces are, but hopefully I'll make it clear enough.

I disassembled the shanks to a degree to check for differences, and I did find one.

The spacer ring on the leaking side appears thicker (or maybe not as tightly put in on assembly) causing the faucet "nut" to not be as far out when tightening.

While I know it will be hard to tell the difference in the photos it is more for reference to what I'm talking about.

From the pix it's not obvious where the problem lies. I see nothing wrong standing out.

The retainer ring slides over the spring ring. The faucet nut (with the holes) then slides over the retainer, tightening onto the faucet's threads. The distance is immaterial, as long as there are enough threads on the faucet.

Are there any burrs on the mating surfaces that prevents the rubber o-ring inside the faucet to create the seal?
Since it only leaks a few drops, the seal is almost there, just not entirely complete or tight enough. Perhaps a small sliver of metal from machining is stuck in there, preventing it from tightening all the way? Check around closely, use a magnifier.

You can remove the o-ring carefully, don't damage it. Check underneath.

It must be a very small unevenness that's causing the leak. If it were any larger you'd be showered in beer as soon as you'd connect the keg.

I have been in communication with my LHBS and will be going in Saturday if I can't get the problem solved by then.
