Im just looking for input on the following grain bill I'm planning for my next brew.
8lbs 2 row
2lbs Vienna
1/2lb carapils
60 minute mash at 153.

I also have 1lb of melanoidin but im not sure it its necessary...hoping for a somewhat malty europeanish lager...thoughts?

Is there a particular style you have in mind? Helles? Vienna Lager? Marzen?

If you're not sure what those styles really are, maybe read up on the BJCP style guidelines to find a lager style that matches what's in your mind?

I'd go easy on the melanoidin unless you've used it before and the style you want to make really needs it.

what hops and yeast?

Not sure what Krispy is, but otherwise looks like a decent festbier as is.
Krispy is a strain of kveik from escarpment labs, lots of peole use it for lagers because of its clean crisp results at warmer temps

Here's a standard of mine, mash at 152 for 60m, boil for 90

8 lbs 8.0 oz Pilsner (Weyermann)
12.0 oz Munich I (Weyermann)
4.0 oz Carafoam (Weyermann)
4.0 oz Melanoidin (Weyermann)
1.25 oz Tettnang (3.5) [3.50 %] - First Wort
1.25 oz Tettnang (3.5) [3.50 %] - Boil 15.0 min
1.0 pkg Munich Lager (Wyeast Labs #2308)

Use whatever noble hop you have. Tasty with Palisade too
