Hello I plan on fermenting my lager at 50f for 7days an then I would start ramping it up 2f per day until I am at 68f for the Diacetyl rest? Will this work for brewing a lager?

Yeast don’t count days. Best to test the gravity after a bit (some do 7-10 days, some do a couple weeks or more) and bump up to D-rest when it’s between 75-90% done. No need to go slow on the ramp up unless you’re manually heating it. If you’re just moving the temp setting up on your controller, it will free-rise slowly. It’s the bumping down for lagering that you might want to do slowly if you want to keep the yeast happy. I’ve had success with 5 degrees F per day on the ramp down.
