Forget the typical Labor Day BBQ, I'm spending my Labor Day brewing a pumpkin porter. Happy Brew Day!!!

Hi I would love to know what your recipe is as I've got a couple growing big

--this is 1 i tried last year which turned out very strong. About 7% if I remember right
1 kg pumpkin (roasted so the pulp )
.5kg malt extract ( I have some extra dark dried spare )--375g sugar
1gallon water --ale yeast

I'm using a London Porter Extract kit that I purchased from Austin Homebrew Supply. Here's the recipe:
1/2 lb Pale Ale Malt
8oz Crystal 60L Malt
8oz Chocolate Malt
5lb Dark Extract
1lb Dark DME
1oz Challenger at 60 min.
1oz Fuggle at 5 min.
British Ale White Labs Yeast

I also used 2 cans of libby's pure pumpkin. I roasted it in the oven for 30 min. at 350 with some pumpkin spies and brown sugar. I added it to the mash for 25 min.
