Labels/Tags for Kegs?

I want to add a system for tagging my kegs so it's easier to keep track of what is what in my keezer. I've been using 3x5 cardstock cut down, hole punched in it, and a twist tie to secure it to the keg.

But they aren't very robust, can tear off easily, and are susceptible to moisture.

Anyone have a good system for labeling kegs? I was thinking something like luggage tags only cheaper and without the flaps covering up the info. Also being readable on both sides is a plus.

I do something similar but I laminated the tags and zip tied them to the kegs. I put the generic info on the tags: Name, brewed on, kegged on, etc, then laminated. Fill up the keg and take a sharpie to fill out the info then.

I've been using plastic tags and have been happy with them. I found that I can loop a zip tie through and leave it attached, and not waste a bunch of them. Just slip the loop under the keg lid foot when closing. Easy to reuse, for the next round of that beer. I just cross out any dated info and add the new. Once they fill up front and back, I guess I'll toss them.

I use Chalkboard Stickers. Might not work if you have a Chest Keezer though. I have an upright Kegerator so I can put them on the side of the keg and still read them. There are a million types on amazon, you may be able to cut something down to size for the top or find something that fits. I also use them on my fermenters to remember what is in which bucket, OG, Target FG, Date to dry hop or whatever notes I need. Though, now that I have my fermentation chamber and chalk painted the door I use these notes less.

I use blue painters tape and a sharpie.

There is a company that makes engraved plastic tags for all the styles. The tags hang from a small chain. I think they are or were, a vendor here because I won a single tag in a forum contest a few years back. Sorry I don't recall the name of the company.

Grogtag.com and Beercling.com have write on labels, the latter also has the special wax pencils that work better than whiteboard sharpies.

Put me in the "tape and sharpie" camp. I make sure I put the tape on after the keg is filled so I don't spill liquid and blur out the writing.

Nothing fancy, I'm in the tape and sharpie crowd.... with a batch ID that matches to paperwork that has all the relevant info on the beer. Paperwork for beers that are on tap are on a clipboard in the bar.

The MFL connections on the end of my beer and gas lines have numbers that match with the taps and the tap board. Once the keg is in the bar I don't need the tag anymore except if I pull it out to take somewhere.

They're luggage tags, 12 in a pack for $4.99 with Prime free delivery. There's a plastic insert to protect the paper label, which is perfect. I may eventually write on the plastic directly w/ a sharpie and use rubbing alcohol to clean it off. For now, I cut my own labels from 3x5 cards.
