Are there any negative effects when it comes to krausen leaving the fermentation vessel via the blowoff tube or the airlock? Besides the mess from a non-blowoff tube incident.
One potential negative I could see is if you had very little headspace and blew off a significant portion of the yeast and significantly reduced your population. This would need to be an extreme case to effect the beer though. Another unique case would be if you added hops or other solid additions early in primary and the yeast being blown off was carrying it out with it and reducing the amount and contact time of your additions. For the most part yeast blowoff does not effect the finished product though.
I would say normally there is nothing negative. It is mostly foam, proteins and ?? that is being ejected. Maybe a little yeast but if you are getting that much activity there must be plenty of yeast. IMO nothing to worry about.
