So this is what happened to my little experiment, of fermenting Kool-aid and its.. odd. With a clear- green tinge a few weeks after fermenting, it worries me. It has a pungent smell, and I have not dared taste it. What could this be?? Yall ask questions too and I'll answer. How could I know what I made? Cheers!

Could just be the taste of all the artificial stuff after the yeast pulled out some compounds (used or dropped out with the yeast) and all the sugar has been fermented out.

You could just make a simple sugar wash/wine then add the flavors along with some back sweetening after. I would think (a new thing for me) the additives in the Kool-ade would stop it from starting up the fermentation again.

1 gallon boiling water
1.5kg brewing sugar
1 yeast
1 tsp Yeast Nutrient

Now I have never made this, and I don't recommend it. I would make a simple white grape (from juice) or pear juice, a kind of neutral juice you could add a flavor that wouldn't overshadow the kool-ade.
