Hey guys! I would like to keep a light beer on tap year around that most people, including the females, will enjoy... I also like to mix it up once in a while from IPA's especially during the summer months. My favorite light beer is by far Kona longboard.. It's super smooth and has a really good flavor.
I have looked for an all grain clone and have only found one but it doesn't seem right.
On Kona's website, they list what is used in the beer...
Malt-Pale(Premium 2 row)
Hops-Mt. Hood, hallertau, sterling, millenium.
Bitterness is 20 IBU... ABV is 4.6% and
Plato is 10.95.
Question is, do you think they are using 100% US pale 2 row for the grain bill?
As far as hops, which of those would you use as bittering? Do you think they dry hop at all or use the rest as flavor and aroma? Also, what kind of yeast would you recommend?
Any and all help is appreciated.
