Ok people, I'm drinking some Dog Fish Head Pangaea.

I've been trying to improve my ability to describe the scent and taste of beer.

When I try to describe this beer's scent I get fruits and a distinct Kitty Litter.

Its not off putting like the smell of used Kitty litter. -Just kitty litter

Is this a combo of several different scents that I'm not differentiating between?

Is there a better way to describe this?

Thanks

Simcoe hops have that characteristic. I hate cats but love simcoe!

ETA: I searched to see if simcoe were used, but I couldn't find anything definitive.

Citrusy pine is how I describe Chinook. I have an imperial fermenting out now with Chinook, El Dorado, and Fuggles. The attempt is to harness Chinooks pine character and use it with El Dorados fruitiness.

I think for Simcoe they mean cat urine whereas the OP is just talking about unused, presumably scented kitty litter.
