Somewhere I saw a picture of a strainer/sieve that sat on top of a 6.5 gallon bucket used to strain the wort. Anyone have an idea where I might find something like this?

Target. I have an adjustable, fine-mesh collander that I've been dumping my wort through. It both filters out most of the gunk and does a great job of aerating the wort.

Will the collander sit right on the bucket? I'm looking for something I don't need three hands for while dumping the wort. SWMBO would not be impressed with wort spillage on her clean kitchen floor! As much as I dislike those kind of stores, I may be forced to go...

It sets right on top. Mine is a LITTLE bit big, but I think you can get one that's a touch smaller. Take some measurements before you go.

They are usually called 'in sink strainers', are rectangular and meant to sit on your sink suspended from the edges, most are adjustable.

Is this what you are talking about?

I got it at Target. It's stainless and cost about $20 and as the Bird says, it aerates the wort just great!

I have the very same strainer, and use it all the time. I picked mine up at Bed Bath & Beyond for about 15 bucks. Great strainer, I use it to strain when batch sparging into the kettle.
