For the first time in quite a while, I got to push one of my kids on a swing. I did not realize just how long it had been, but I guess you don't do a lot of swing-pushing over the Winter, even in Houston. It was nice, very nice.

SWMBO is pushing him now. He's four years old and should be our last one. We have to live this up while we can.

Nice.

I need to build Cassie a new swing set this summer, she's completely outgrown the one we picked up from my brother (he's got a new daughter, so he'll need it back regardless).

If we're just talking about cool kid stuff, you know what she said today? We were drinking home from a party, we drove by a train. I asked her what she thought might be in the tanker cars.

"Maybe it's beer?"

(I'm doing something either really right or really, REALLY wrong... :D)

LOL! That's great!

I still hear my older boy's voice ring in my ear from time to time as we were on our way to the second day of a small town festival where beer is fairly plentiful.

"Daddy, I have an idea. Instead of sitting and drinking beer all day . . . how about we ride some rides?"

He was four at that time. Am I that easy to figure out?

I rotate between 3 at a time on the swing.

1 - year old "giggles"
3 - year old "higher higher "
6- year old "I guess you hate me, you are pushing them more"

It is fun. I think they could do that for 8 hour stretches. My kids are a lot of fun and all have wonderful personalities. I keep thinking about being a good dad to them and hope I do.

Typo, or Freudian slip? :D

Eliza is pretty fearless, but I put her in one of those bucket swings at the playground and she did not enjoy it. BTW, she took her first real steps a week ago today.

My kids were out on our swing set today for the 1st time since last year. Its been warm out a few times but every time it warmed up before it would rain for 3 days and be all muddy. Last year early spring my 8(at the time) slipped of the swing and broke her arm.

Pushed my 3 year old on the big girl swings for the first "real" time today. She's usually in the toddler swings.

Last time, she tumbled off backwards and I could have sworn she broke her neck. But since she's a kid, she bounced up and just headed back to the playground.

Pushed my ten month old son on the toddler swings for the first time ever and he was having a blast. There is no buzz like it.

lol when ever me and my wife get on the swings with the kids our husky lab will actually get behind and start pushing!

my kid is seven, and she made me drill extra drain holes in the bottom of her swing seats. they collect water, and she hates when it drips on her legs.

we played some bizzare game of catch, where she earned points, but i got none. then she informed me that she won. ;)
