I have a ton of books, with recipes, but wondering if anyone has, and willing to share your awesome AG recipe? This is for a club competition in October.

I’ll try it! Just getting into AG and haven’t learned how to use a yeast starter. Any suggestions for dry yeast?

Dry yeast folks like for stouts include Nottingham, Us-05 and S-04. Probably others that are great, but those should be a good starting point.

Of the 3, I would choose US-05 because 1) there are a few things I don't like about S-04 and 2) I've never used Notty in a beer. But that's just me - some people love S-04.

I hit my Oatmeal Stouts with a little lactose, this is on tap at my house now and everyone likes it

Last night we had the board meeting and I brought it up. US-04 was the overall choice.

I haven’t used Lacoste before, or at least that I know of. I assume it adds some creamy taste?

A creamy sweetness and body, awesome stuff

Thank you for the recipe, BTW! I printed it off for my binder, unless you have a name for it I’m going to label it OG-wan Oatmeal Stout.

I love stouts, have plenty of kegs and equipment to make two batches at once... I don’t think I would attempt it alone unless I staggered boils. I have a buddy who will be more than happy to join me.
