So I just installed a valve on my kettle. This is the second one I did but on my first one the step bit went through real easy. Thinner steel I guess. This new kettle took a little more elbow grease but bent the metal a little. I sanded it as smooth as I could and installed the valve. There are no leaks at all so am I good to go??
Thanks

No leaks what so ever. The main problem cane when my drill battery died. Made a rough cut with the step bit. I sanded it down smooth inside the hole and the edges the best I could

My last kettle I used a flat white washer on the outside. This one kept leaking with the white washer so I switched it to the red one. Everything seems to sit flush but the bazooka tube is just a little cocked.

If the gasket seats properly, it will be fine. If you're not sure, boil a couple gallons of water for a few minutes to see if it stays tight at temperature.

So is there any other concerns or should I stop worrying about it and just brew lol
