I was unable to duplicate getting 9 kegs to fit. I used a precision CAD program (QuickCAD) which has very good 2D constructive geometry tools. If the kegs were just less than 8.5" diameter, then 9 wood fit.

Looks like I'm going to have to shave some keg down

It's your keezer, knock yourself out! Although having some gaps for air flow is extremely beneficial for temperature uniformity in the keezer.

With a collar, the lines go on top of the kegs, and a 5# tank (or two) can sit on the compressor hump.
